Congratulations to NEANN member, Cindy Whetten, on her recent publication!
Cindy’s article, “Cue-Based Feeding in the NICU”, was published in the October 2016 edition of, “Nursing for Women’s Health”. She has since received invitations to speak all over the world!
Cindy’s career has carried her all over New England! She began her professional journey in Boston in the NICU at Brigham and Women’s (1980-1985). She spent the next 14 years working in General Pediatrics at Maine Medical. After a move to Connecticut in 2000, she worked as a school nurse and then returned to her favorite patient population in the NICU at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
Cindy has worked in the NICU at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center since 2010. As an active member of the feeding team, she has passionately assisted in Evidence Based Practice Initiatives relating to the topic. She recently presented a poster at the National Association of Neonatal Nurses in Dallas, TX in 2015 and now … her first publication!
Great Job, Cindy!
